Mahindra Marazzo launched in India; Prices start at Rs. 9.9 Lakh; Specifications, Price

The new Mahindra Marazzo MPV 2018 was launched today in India at a starting price of ₹ 9.9 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Currently, the MPV is available in four variants M2, M4, M6 and M8, and the superior variant is priced at ₹ 13.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Marazzo is a totally new product of the national automobile manufacturer and is currently the company's flagship model in the country. In India, the new Mahindra Marazzo will face Toyota segment leader Innova Crysta and Tata Hexa. The Mahindra Marazzo mileage is approximately 17.6 kmpl. Mahindra has invested $ 200 million for the design and development of the Marazzo MPV.

The new Mahindra Marazzo is powered by a new 1.5-liter four-cylinder diesel engine that has been adjusted to offer a maximum of 120 bhp and develops a maximum torque of 300 Nm. Ajay Gnanamuthu’s dream project

Ajay assisted hit filmmaker A.R. Murugadoss in 7aum Arivu and Thuppakki before he ventured on his own. His first directorial outing was horror film Demonte Colony in 2015, but Imaikkaa Nodigal could have been his debut film had he found the right backing for the project. It took about five years for Ajay to breathe life into his vision and bring it to the big screen. He wrote the story of Imaikkaa Nodigal in 2013 and waited for three more years to take this project on the floor. And, again it was a struggle of two more years to complete the filming. Ajay’s belief in his story and the determination to tell it to the audience only increases our curiosity to find out why the young filmmaker was so committed to this film despite all the challenges.

The Bollywood filmmaker has films like Paanch, Black Friday, Dev D, Gangs of Wasseypur, Raman Raghav 2.0 to his credit. The filmmakers shot the film in Bengaluru nearly for a month and canned some of the important action sequences including a portion set inside the underground tunnel stretch of the Namma Metro. The producers had enlisted the services of Lee Hon Yiu, a cycle stunt specialist from Hong Kong, to work with action choreographer ‘Stunt’ Siva for a sequence involving cycle stunts. We could see in the trailers, Atharvaa performing some cool stunts while trying to escape cops.

NTR के बेटे नंदमुरी हरिकृष्ण की नलगोंडा के पास सड़क दुर्घटना में मौत

हैदराबाद: आंध्र प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री एन चंद्रबाबू नायडू के दामाद और एनटी राम राव के बेटे नंदमुरी हरिकृष्णन बुधवार सुबह तेलंगाना के नलगोंडा के पास एक सड़क दुर्घटना में मारे गए।

नलगोंडा पुलिस अधीक्षक एवी रंगनाथ के मुताबिक, फिल्म अभिनेता-राजनेता एन हरिकृष्णा को गंभीर स्थिति में वहां ले जाने के बाद नारकेपल्ली में कामिननी अस्पताल में मृत घोषित कर दिया गया था। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि हरिकृष्ण सीट बेल्ट नहीं पहन रहे थे जिसके कारण उन्हें प्रभाव के बाद कार से निकाल दिया गया था।

पुलिस का मानना है कि हरिकृष्ण कार चला रहे थे

पुलिस ने कहा कि वह एक कार में नेल्लोर से हैदराबाद लौट रहा था। दुर्घटनाग्रस्त और उलझन वाली अवशेष दुर्घटना स्थल के पास पाए गए। पुलिस का मानना है कि बुधवार को दुर्घटनाग्रस्त होने पर हरिकृष्ण कार चला रहे थे।

केंद्र सरकार के कर्मचारियों के वेतन बढ़ने के लिए? सरकार ने महंगाई भत्ता वृद्धि की योजना बनाई है

महंगाई भत्ता सरकारी कर्मचारियों और पेंशनभोगियों को भुगतान समायोजन भत्ता की लागत है। यह वेतन का एक घटक है, और व्यक्ति के मूल वेतन के निश्चित प्रतिशत के रूप में गिना जाता है।

केंद्र सरकार इंडेक्स और बेस साल को संशोधित करने के लिए तैयार है जिसका उपयोग महंगाई भत्ता (डीए) की गणना के लिए किया जाता है। इस साल की शुरुआत में दो प्रतिशत भत्ते को मंजूरी मिलने के बाद इस कदम के चलते सरकारी कर्मचारियों की एक और वेतन वृद्धि होगी। डीए सरकारी कर्मचारियों और पेंशनभोगियों को भुगतान समायोजन भत्ता की लागत है। यह वेतन का एक घटक है, और व्यक्ति के मूल वेतन के निश्चित प्रतिशत के रूप में गिना जाता है।

इकोनॉमिक टाइम्स की एक रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, श्रम मंत्रालय औद्योगिक श्रमिकों (सीपीआई-आईडब्ल्यू) के लिए उपभोक्ता मूल्य सूचकांक की एक नई श्रृंखला पर काम कर रहा है। रिपोर्ट से पता चलता है कि मंत्रालय के तहत श्रम ब्यूरो ने वर्ष 200 9 के साथ नए सीपीआई-आईडब्ल्यू को अंतिम रूप दिया है, और यह प्रस्तावित किया गया है कि प्रत्येक छह वर्षों में बेस को संशोधित किया जा सके ताकि जीवन व्यय में बदलावों को और तेजी से बदला जा सके। यह कदम महत्वपूर्ण है क्योंकि वर्तमान में सीपीआई-आईडब्ल्यू 2001 में आधार वर्ष के रूप में है।

एक अधिकारी ने उद्धृत करते हुए कहा, "नई इंडेक्स में नए औद्योगिक केंद्रों को जोड़ने के लिए कीमत अधिक गड़बड़ी करने के लिए शामिल होगा, कुल मिलाकर औद्योगिक केंद्रों को कुल 78 के खिलाफ 88 पर विचार किया जाएगा।" नए सीपीआई-आईडब्ल्यू में कारों और मोबाइल जैसे सामानों के कुछ और अतिरिक्त होंगे।

रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, नई इंडेक्स जल्द ही तकनीकी सलाहकार समिति के पास जायेगी, जिसके बाद इसे अंतिम रूप देने से पहले राष्ट्रीय त्रिपक्षीय परामर्श में जाना होगा। रिपोर्ट में कहा गया है कि श्रम ब्यूरो ने इंडेक्स के विकास में सभी चरणों में त्रिपक्षीय समिति खड़े होने से मंजूरी ली थी।

इस कदम से 11 मिलियन सरकारी कर्मचारियों और पेंशनभोगियों को फायदा होगा।

इस साल मार्च में, मंत्रिमंडल ने डीए में 5 प्रतिशत से 7 प्रतिशत की वृद्धि की - एक कदम जिसने 48.41 लाख केंद्रीय सरकारी कर्मचारियों और 61.17 लाख पेंशनभोगियों को लाभान्वित किया। वृद्धि 7 वें केंद्रीय वेतन आयोग की सिफारिशों के अनुसार थी।

48.41 lakh employees and 61.17 lakh pensioners of Central Government Central Government will benefit from this increase. Earlier, in March 2017, the central government increased the dearness allowance from 5 percent to 7 percent. The dearness allowance extended for the last time was implemented from January 1, 2018. At the same time, the Cabinet has increased the estimated cost of India Post Payment Bank from another Rs 800 crore to 1435 crore in another decision.

Dearness allowance is a cost of living adjustment allowance paid to government employees and pensioners. It is a component of salary, and is counted as a fixed percentage of the person's basic salary. 

The Central government is set to modify the index and base year that are used to calculate dearness allowance (DA). The move will result in yet another salary hike of the government employees after two per cent allowance raise approvedearlier this year. The DA is a cost of living adjustment allowance paid to government employees and pensioners. It is a component of salary, and is counted as a fixed percentage of the person's basic salary.

According to a report in the Economic Times,  the Labour Ministry is working on a new series of consumer price index for industrial workers (CPI-IW). The report suggest that the labour bureau under the Ministry has finalised the new CPI-IW with base year 2016, and it is proposed that the base be revised every six years to capture the changes in living expenses more quickly. The move is significant as currently the CPI-IW has 2001 as the base year.  

"The new index will include addition of new industrial centres to make price gauze more representative, taking total number of industrial centres under consideration to 88 against 78 now," the ET quoted an official as saying.  The new CPI-IW will have few more additions of items such as cars and mobiles.

According to the report, the new index will soon go to the technical advisory committee for vetting after which it will go to the national tripartite consultation before it is finalised. The labour bureau had taken approvals from standing tripartite committee at all stages in development of the index, the report said.

The move is likely to benefit 11 million government employees and pensioners.

This year in March, the Cabinet increased DA from 5 per cent to 7 per cent - a move that benefited about 48.41 lakh central government employees and 61.17 lakh pensioners. The increase was in accordance with the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission.

Hurricane Maria killed 2,975 people in Puerto Rico

Hurricane Maria killed 2,975 people in  Puerto Rico since its scourge in September of last year until February 2018, according to an independent study commissioned by the island's government and released Tuesday in the midst of the controversy over the true death toll.

The experts came to this conclusion studying Puerto Rico's mortality patterns between 2010 and 2017 to "predict the expected mortality if Hurricane Maria had not occurred," said the report by the Milken Institute of Public Health at George Washington University.
