Good news for central employees, cabinet raised dearness allowance by two percent

The dearness allowance of the Central Government employees has been increased. Giving the approval of the cabinet, the dearness allowance of central employees has increased by 2 percent. The increased allowance will be applicable from July 2018.


New Delhi: Good news for employees and pensioners of Central Government has come. The dearness allowance of the Central Government employees has been increased. Giving the approval of the cabinet, the dearness allowance of central employees has increased by 2 percent. The increased allowance will be applicable from July 2018.

48.41 lakh employees and 61.17 lakh pensioners of Central Government Central Government will benefit from this increase. Earlier, in March 2017, the central government increased the dearness allowance from 5 percent to 7 percent. The dearness allowance extended for the last time was implemented from January 1, 2018. At the same time, the Cabinet has increased the estimated cost of India Post Payment Bank from another Rs 800 crore to 1435 crore in another decision.
